Home About Archive Contributors

Why would I want to contibute?

Because why not? Look, you have to have a passion for science, technology, and most importantly writing. We are not interested in paying writers who are doing it just to make a buck (unless you happen to write incredibly well, then let's talk)

How much can I make?

Writers are paid 100% on commission. No, you don't have to sell your stories (but it couldn't hurt)

I don't understand

That's not a question.

Seriously, what is that supposed to mean?

This simply means cotributors are paid based on the profit of the website. Currently, all profits come in through ads, or visitors for that matter. The more people that visit, the more the ads are seen, the more money the site makes. This is why driving visitors to the site could help you.

I wrote twice as much as this other guy, do I get paid twice as much?

Yes. The more you write, the more you get paid.

So if I write a lot of lousy stories instead of a couple of good stories every month, I'd make more money?

Not likely. Every story goes through an editing process and quality check by the Real X Tech staff. If a story is not quality material, it can and will be rejected from submission.

Can I post my stories on my blog?

No. All stories become property of Real X Tech. Afterall, that is what we're paying you for. You can post the link to your story on your personal blog, as well as post a link to your blog on your contributor profile.

When do I get paid?

Contributors are paid on a monthly basis. More information will be provided if you are selected to be a contributor.

Enough already, how do I apply?

You can simply apply here

I applied, what's next?

If you've filled out the enitre application, then you wait. It can take up to two weeks before you get a response on whether you're Real X Tech material.

If I get rejected, can I apply again?

If you are rejected, you may apply once more. If you are rejected a second time, you must wait one year before you can apply again.
